It was well understood that the advanced age always use to signal mental degeneration. It is more aggravated in the case of retired persons and disabled aged persons. Considering their plight the centre intended to take up a pioneering work for the aged people. The main idea of taking up such work was to provide opportunities and make them feel that they are still useful citizens of the society. This was ensured by asking them to give company and entertain mentally handicapped children and since the children also crave for care and concern from an elderly person.
Besides, the centre also installed multipurpose mill for paddy de-husking, crushing of oil seeds, grinding of maize and wheat for Maida and Atta etc. for imbibing skills to the inmates in the trades, in order to facilitate their job placements in different units in their own localities when they are return to their respective homes.
The centre also had ties with printing press and local bakery in order to train the inmates of the centre and intends to have the organisations own.
